VeggieTales Celery Night Fever – Review & Giveaway!

Celery Night Fever

I received a copy of VeggieTales Celery Night Fever to facilitate my review. All opinions remain my own. For my full disclosure policy click here.

We are HUGE VeggieTales fans in this house. I don’t remember which VeggieTales was the first one we ever watched but we have loved each and every story we’ve ever bought or borrowed.

As a parent I love how they take real life situations kids often face and teach them how to deal with those situations in a Godly way. I love that there is scripture to back up each of the shows lessons.

Our whole family knows all the words to MANY of the Silly Songs from VeggieTales. I used to get the CDs from the library and we’d sing along in the car running errands and on our way to church.

Celery Night Fever

In Celery Night Fever, the VeggieTales gang learns some valuable lessons about forgiveness. The Bible has a lot to say about forgiveness – and not just its ultimate expression of God forgiving our sins, there are many many scriptures in the Bible that talk about forgiveness. Old bandmates from The Groovy Brothers, who have held on to a decades-old falling out rediscover their friendship. Bruce Onion himself realizes the benefits of forgiveness. And Laura Carrot, after cutting her best pal Junior Asparagus out of her life over a mistake he makes, decides everything is better when they’re best friends.

My son and I watched Celery Night Fever together. He giggled and laughed through the whole thing and when it was over he said he liked it. I thought it was a very cute and groovy story. (haha!) It does a great job of teaching kids how unforgiveness hurts not only others but yourself as well. And how can you not forgive others when God forgives you when you do wrong each and every day?

This VeggieTales story, Celery Night Fever, (which debuted on August 5th), had all the fun and music you’d expect from the VeggieTales crew. Actor Terry Crews (Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Who Wants to be a Millionaire) stars – and sings – in Celery Night Fever.
