Getting Fit with Noom Coach

I have posted before about exercise and fitness. I am not a health nut or fitness guru or trainer. I am also not concerned with the number on the scale. But I am concerned with being in shape and fit and as healthy as I can be. I want to be a good example to my kids as well as be as healthy as I can be so that I can be around as long as God wants me to be.

After two children, my midsection is not exactly what I’d like it to be. But if I’m not going to get my rear in gear then I can’t complain about it. I’ve never been a fan of complaining about something unless you are going to do something about it. (I don’t claim to be perfect people, I can be guilty of this too!) And I’ve never been concerned with my weight per se, in terms of numbers. I’d just like to be fit, in shape, toned.

I am really really good at creating plans, charts, schedules, routines, and following through for about 3-5 days. Then life throws a curveball and a day will not go as planned. I’m really good about waiting until the next Monday to start afresh. Don’t ask me why. That’s just my own crazy logic, fresh week, fresh start.

My fitness routines are no different. I get a game plan, sometimes including meals sometimes not, and then I follow it for about a week.

I am not going to get in shape if I am only planning exercise instead of doing exercise.

Another issue I seem to have is I’ve found I need an accountability partner. Someone who will ask me daily if I’ve eaten right, if I’ve worked out. I live out in the sticks, the closest gym is 20+ minutes away. And, all my close friends that I would feel comfortable working out with live 30+ minutes away, so it can be a bit difficult for me. My husband is completely supportive but he sees nothing wrong with the way I look or the shape my midsection is in so, there’s that. :)

Enter Noom Coach. Noom Coach is your fitness trainer, accountability partner, and food log all rolled into one. I adore the app, I really do. I’ve downloaded I don’t know how many fitness apps and this is by FAR my favorite.

The food log database has nearly million foods, and the app remembers your favorite foods. Foods are color coded so that you know which foods are really healthy and which are not. You get personalized daily tasks to help you each day to know what to do to loose weight or get fit and you also get reminders and notifications for scheduled exercise and meal times.

So far, I love the app. It is super fast and easy to use and understand. I haven’t explored the Noom Groups much yet but I am ready for that because I feel myself starting to do my usual “at it for a week not at it for 3 weeks” thing.

Week 1 Weigh In – 132lbs. Though I’ve said (and stand by) the number on the scale doesn’t mean too much, its how I look and feel, I do think that if I keep at it within 30 days of starting this campaign I will be down to about 130-127 or so. I just want to be much more toned.

I would LOVE it if you joined me!! Visit Noom Coach to download a FREE 30 day Trial of Noom Weight Loss Coach PRO! If you choose to join me leave me a comment so that I can get you added to my Noom Group!
